Valentines Day at Sheffield Bars

This year, Valentines Day at Sheffield bars, is going to be a roadblock affair. It falls on a Saturday and your other half isn’t going to want to hear any excuses about the credit crunch or a recession. For an easy life make sure you’ve got a bit of money in your pocket for a few drinks this Valentines Day at Sheffield bars.

Now, there’s going to be a lot of people bemoaning the cruel fact that Valentines Day at Sheffield bars has fallen on a sacred day. One of the biggest games in recent history is taking place at Bramall Lane, as the Blades take on Hull in the FA Cup 5th Round. With a 3pm kick off, there are going to be a few disappointed football widows/widowers, at least until the final whistle has blown.

If you’re a football fan, but value the happiness of your better half more than the beautiful game (I know, I know, you shouldn’t have to choose), you may be starting off early this Valentines Day at Sheffield bars. One place you could easily spend a good few hours in is Common Room. Here you can hang out, shoot some pool (it might help you relax if it’s a big date) and sip your way through a few cocktails. Make sure you have some food, it’s dead cheap here, as drinking during the day and no food could spell disastrous consequences later. You know what I mean. If your hot date or loved one would consider playing pool an abomination, then don’t take him/her to Green, the virtual golf bar. Actually, if you’re single Common Room and Green would be a good one for you and a bunch of mates to ignore the fact that it is Valentines Day at Sheffield bars.

Later on in the evening, those of you who have not got too wasted during the day will be hitting some of Sheffield more musical orientated bars. Let’s hope your date likes the same kind of music as you as taking your girl to a drum and bass rave when she likes nothing more than some smooth jazz music might not put you in the good books.

The Harley Bar has always got something decent on. Here you can get your skank on to some bass-heavy dubstep vibes courtesy of Tricksta. If that doesn’t float your boat, head down to The Bowery. Here, there will be more of an indie playlist and a few tunes from local bands, no doubt.
